I completed a project that involved scraping detailed data from LinkedIn public company profiles and employee listings. The goal was to provide my client with a comprehensive database of companies and key personnel to aid in business development and recruitment efforts.
Project Details
LinkedIn Company Data Scraped:
Extracted key information such as Company Name, Website, Overview, Industry, Company Size, Type (e.g., Public or Private), Year Founded, Specialties, Headquarters Location, Total Employees, and the LinkedIn Company Profile URL.
Employee Data Scraped:
For each company, I also scraped employee data, including LinkedIn Name, Job Title, and Profile URL for individuals working in specific roles or departments.
How I Achieved It
- Leveraging Python with libraries like BeautifulSoup and Selenium, I automated the scraping process to ensure accuracy and efficiency while handling LinkedIn’s structure and anti-scraping mechanisms.
- I structured the data and delivered it in a clean, usable format (CSV/Excel), ready for my client’s immediate use.
- Additionally, I ensured the data was up-to-date, focusing on providing my client with the latest information available.
This project allowed my client to build a powerful lead generation and recruitment pipeline, and I’m confident I can replicate this process for similar needs in any industry.
